PDCK Extend Greetings to Karbis on Occasion of 46th KYF


DIPHU, Feb 14: The Peoples’ Democratic Council of Karbi-Longri (PDCK) has extended its warm wishes to all Karbis on the eve of the 46th Karbi Youth Festival, 2020, one of the oldest ethnic festivals in the northeastern states of India which will begin from February 15 at KPH, Taralangso. This was conveyed through a press statement issued through its vice chairman Mir-Ang Shir-Ang on Friday.

In its press note, the rebel group conveyed its wishes to all Karbis, including the youths and general public on the occasion of the 46th edition of Karbi Youth Festival. “We also pray for the success of the entire programme,” read the press statement.

PDCK said that the annual cultural festival is indeed very unique and very special and therefore, Karbis from outside the hill districts including Bodorpur, Arunachal Pradesh and Kathiatuli are expected to witness the grand festival.

In addition to this PDCK also fervently urged upon all Karbis to continue to keep up the great work for the betterment and preservation of the rich culture and tradition of the Karbis.
