Demands clarification on their stand on ST-H, NRC,CAA and Art 244(A)
DIPHU, Feb 11: Karbi Students’ Association (KSA) Central Committee has demanded clarification from Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) over their stand on conferring of ST(H) to Bodos in the hills district and on other issues including Article 244 (A) of the Constitution of India. The demand for clarification was made in press communique issued through its office secretary Sumit Timung here today.
The press note of the students’ organization came following ABVP new president’ latest statement in media declaring their support on granting ST (H) to Bodos living in Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao district. “We severely condemn the ABVP for supporting conferring of ST(H) status to Bodos which was made before media by ABVP’s newly elected president on February 9, 2020 at Diphu Arboretum Park,” charged the KSA.
The students’ organization warned that ABVP would solely be held responsible if any untoward situation arises out on this issue in the entire district. “We also demand that ABVP Karbi Anglong Committee to issue public statement on their stand on ST-H, NRC, CAA and Article 244(A) of the Constitution of India,” concluded the press statement.
