Trinity Hills Society Conducts Camp on Child Trafficking


DIPHU, Jan 27: With the aim of raising awareness on the rising cases of child trafficking, Diphu based-NGO Trinity Hills Society organized an awareness camp on the issue at Panbari in Diphu. This was informed by its president Rajesh Timung here this evening.

Child Helpline District Coordinator Bulu Terang who was invited as the resource person of the programme took the session during which he enlightened participants on the various ways to prevent child trafficking. The resource person also explained as to why child trafficking occurs and how to spot a child trafficking, age range for child trafficking, whom to report on suspicion and causes of child trafficking etc. He also said highlighted the importance on the need to educate and generates more awareness in the remote areas.

The NGO members who were present at the programme include its joint secretary Tenzing Terang, organizing secretary Aroma Terangpi, office secretary Rangsina Bey and members- Hunmili Taropi, Hanriso Terangpi, Waisong Rongpi.
