According to reports, the organizations reached the site at around 1pm and found that a large number of non-indigenous people were found settling at the tribal belt.

“When we asked the illegal settlers about their settlement, they replied that they took permission from Bokajan SDO to settle in the area. They also showed us the written permission and mentioned that they are settling on lease system under Pale Angami from Nagaland,” leaders of the students’ bodies said.

The team headed by Jitu Phukon, Ajay Kathar and others said that the SDO should give an explanation to them about the matter immediately.

The students also appealed the KAAC authority and border chairman to look in to the matter and evict them from the site without any further delay.
