DIPHU, Jan 18: Along with the rest of the world, Cycle Day was observed in Bokajan Block by Hanjanglangso Sport Association (HSA) today.
The day was observed as as part of ‘Fit India Cyclethon and Walkthon’ and a rally from Roman Nepali Basti via Nihang Teron to Ting Basti, Japralangso was also organized on the occasion. The rally was flagged off by HSA athletic secretary Harsing Bey who was accompanied by sportsman Horensing Teron, Chingthong Club general secretary Harvinson Teron and Bokajan Block ex-NYV member Indrojit Teron among others.
While speaking on the occasion, Bey said the programme is being observed to reminds everyone that cycling remains of the best way to control or reduce weight, as it help in raising metabolic rate, builds muscle and burns body fat. He also said that in order to control weight, cycling must be combined with a healthy eating plan and is a comfortable form of exercise which can be built up slowly and varied to suit you.
