MAC D. Uphing Maslai Meets Amri Sports Association Members


BIRSINGKI, Jan 17: With the aim of streamlining the functioning of local sports body, local MAC D. Uphing Maslai today met Amri Sports Association (ASA) members.

The local MAC was accompanied by Sabendra Ronghi, Nurul Teron, Harlinson Ronghi, KCS Amri president and several party members. The meeting with the local elected representative was chaired Amri Sports Association president Winchester Engti and Amri Mauzadar Moyasing Bey presented a brief report on the works and status of the local sports body.

MAC Maslai during his interaction said that Amri Sports Association would extend all of their efforts towards Khelo India in the days to come in order to take the local sports body to higher level which would dedicate themselves in identifying local talents, provide the required opportunity and develop professional sportsperson. MAC Maslai also talked on the need to introduce professional sporting subjects in the educational course stating that it has very big opportunity for individuals if they are very talented. He also reminded of the remuneration on being able to raise itself to the international level. He also stated that local football talent Joseph Maslai Chikdammakha who secured job with the Assam Police is one small example of what sports can offer to individuals.

The local MAC also lauded Don Bosco High School (Amkachi) student Elias Puma for his participation in football events organized by Karbi Anglong Sports Association (KASA) and later joining Karbi Anglong Morning Star FC. He concluded his speech urging all members for their coordination and support towards raising local sports body to new height and expressed all supports towards its overall development.
