BOKAJAN, Jan 13: One day programme on Youth Club Development was held at Sangtihidi on Sunday.
The programme was organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Karbi Anglong under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India in collaboration with Sangtihidi Sports Club and was held at Rongkimi LP School. The programme was chaired by SSC president Verang Terang and guests who attended programme include NYV member Harsing Bey, SGB Jewelson Terang, headmaster Monsing Engleng youth leader Dharson Engleng, Mongol Sing Teron and Raikom Terang.
During the programme, SSC president said that the prograomme was organized to revive and strengthen dormant clubs and form new ones to build a strong network of youth clubs representing all sections of society. He also said that the other aim of events like these is aimed at providing opportunity and open platform to rural youth leaders to express themselves, share experiences and suggest best practiced programmes for strengthening youth club movement and empowerment of youth. He also added that the programme also being conducted for orientation of youth on NYK’s annual action plan as well as publicizes the national flagship programmes and schemes of central government.
Leaders and members representing 11 clubs from the area attended the programme, informed the organizer here after the programme. Meanwhile, the organizer also thanked its secretary Arun Hanse, games secretary Jogodish Teron, office secretary Mongol Sing Terang, and members Son Rongphar, Binong Timung, Monika Killingpi, Hunali Lekthepi, Julina Terangpi and Harbita Timungpi for their hard work and coordination in making the programme successful.
