DIPHU, Jan 10: Don Bosco Degree & Junior College, 6th Mile, one of the potential institutions in the district resumed classes today after its winter break. The day started with a grand school assembly at the portico during which the principal of the college Fr. Johnson Parackal SDB addresses to the staff and the students with his words of wisdom as a significant gesture of official welcome back after having brief winter holidays.
In his speech, the principal shared about the knowledge and information from larger field of experience and took the example of several top educational institutions across the country that brings socio-economic development play important roles in social change.
He said that the present and upcoming generation youths of Karbi Anglong will be served willfully to their welfare by this institution in as much as large amount of capital has been invested for development of infrastructures therefore its commitment to this magnificent work is focused first of all to educate the young so that they can become useful social assets.
“By doing so, educated young people will be able to transform the society. Don Bosco society is an international society which was established 300 years ago for the sake of poor youths and has been reached out to many parts of the world, presently working in 160 countries rendering service to the young, so we here too will do the same to the needful youths of Karbi Anglong,” the principal concluded.
