Decision to stop or resume protest will depend on meeting’s outcome: KSA president
DIPHU, Dec 07: Social organizations of the hill district of Karbi Anglong along with the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) will hold meeting with State Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday.
Informing this to media person, Karbi Students’ Association (KSA) president Bijoy Bey the meeting with the State Health Minister had come on the 6th day of democratic protest in demand of 100 percent reservation for local and review of the selection process for the grade-III and IV job in the non-technical category of Diphu Medical College Hospital & Research Institute.
Further, KSA president stated that decision to stop or resume protest will be depend over the outcome of the meeting but he reiterated the protesting organizations’ stand to resume protest unless their demand points are fulfilled.
The KSA president however stated that the protest would be temporary kept on hold following invitation for talks with the state health minister. He also stated that any points and facts related to Sunday’s meeting outcome would be fully informed to all members involved in the democratic protest.
