Army Organize Swachhta Pakhwada in Three Places


DIPHU, Dec 07: Renowned Red Horns Division of the Indian Army today organized ‘Swachhta Pakhwada : PLOGGING’ simultaneously at three places with the aim at creating awareness about harmful effects of plastic and urgency of weeding out all types of plastics from the environment. This was informed by army source here today.

The programme was carried out at COB in Manja, Bakalia, and at FCI & Bn HQ in Diphu today. “The Plogging was carried out across all important market places and roads in the AOR of COBs and the Tactical HQ of the Unit,” informed the army. Further, 3 officers, 8 JCOs and 113 Ors along with locals and the youth also participated in the event with the slogan “Plastic Se Raksha, Swachhta hi Suraksha,” added the army.

This event has positively impacted on the populace in their resolve to say ‘No to single use plastic’ and achieve the wider aim of ‘Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat,’ the army concluded.
