DIPHU, Nov 27: Assam’s Health & Family Welfare Minister Piyush Hazarika on Wednesday inaugurated the newly constructed Out Patient Department (OPD) building of Diphu Medical College.
Speaking on the occasion, Hazarika said that Diphu is speedily growing in the field of infrastructural development and lauds the present KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang and other leaders for transforming the face of Diphu Town. He also congratulated all the employees that will start working at the new department and urged them to work with dedication and sincerity.
“I urge the employees to work with dedication and sincerity. You will be looking after the sick and the suffering. Therefore, your utmost care and concern is the first preference. Your kind words can heal them,” Hazarika stated.
Hazarika also said that there will be no dearth of doctors in future because now Assam has many medical colleges across the state. He further stated that the government has been continuously supplying 95% of medicines to all medical institutions in the state everyday for the benefit of the public.
On the other hand, CEM Tuliram Ronghang welcomed the new employees of Diphu Medical College and urged them to work sincerely. He also declared that only OPD department could be inaugurated today and the other departments are likely to be inaugurated in the month of December. CEM also stated that the institute will be known as Diphu Medical College instead of Assam Hills Medical College & Resources Institute.
Today’s inauguration was attended by a host of KAAC leaders who include KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang, Bokajan LA MLA Dr. Numol Momin, Baithalangso LA MLA Dr.Mansing Rongpi, KAAC Deputy Chairman Ritesh Inghi, KAAC EM Amarsing Tisso, EM Ratan Teron, EM Khonsing Rongpi, EM Prodip Rongpi, all MACs, KAAC principal secretary, all officers, principal of Diphu Medical College Sumitra Hagjer, Anup Barman, Monush Choudhury and others.
