DIPHU, Nov 26: The 20 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) based in Birla observed Constitutional Day at its premise today. This was informed through a short press release by Commandant RD Jeany Anal here this evening.
The programme was presided over by Commandant RD Jeany Anal and was attended by Unit officers, SO’s and Jawans of the unit. While reasserting its commitment to protect and serve the nation, the Commandant also read out the preamble of the Constitution of India and reminded about fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution of India.
It may be mentioned that the Constitution Day (National Law Day), also known as Samvidhan Divas, is celebrated on 26 November every year across the nation to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. On 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, and it came into effect on 26 January 1950.
