Correspondent: DILLAI, Sept 10: In a historic day for small villages, Borjan constituency VDC chairman Krist Rongphar inaugurated the completed rural electrification scheme in Borjan today. The event was attended by VDC Chairman Krist Rongphar as chief guest, MAC Longki Timung as guest of honour, Borsing Terang Village Headman as guest and others.
The electrification project implemented under Saubhagya scheme that was inaugurated today covers four villages – Dillai, Komolsing Kramsa village, Tokbi Village and Mensing Ingti Hidipi village.
While addressing the gathering chairman said, “Saubhagya scheme was the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modiji, to electricity all villages in the country. It was under BJP Govt. that you got electricity today. Thus, you must thank the concerned govt. for such initiation.”
Meanwhile, village headman Terang also expressed heartfelt gratitude towards MAC Borjan Constituency and VDC Chairman”, sources revealed.
It may be mentioned that the four villages have no access to electricity despite being located along the national highway. The rural electrification scheme was implemented following initiative from Borjan MAC Longki Timung and carried out through VDC chairman who sought the scheme by writing to AGM.
