Our Members were Jailed due to Political Conspiracy of CEM: APHLC

DIPHU, Aug 01: The All Party Hills Leaders Conference (APHLC) said that three of its members were jailed on July 3, 2019 due to the political conspiracy of KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang. This was informed in a press statement issued by its vice president Rajesh Tisso here this evening.

Lambasting the CEM, the press statement said that the CEM has been bragging about jailing KSA president Simeon Rongphar, APHLC workers Rajesh Tisso, Morningson Teron and others just because they are strong oppositions to him and they were despised for voicing their opinions in social media and staging demonstrations against his immoral act.

The press statement mentioned that on July 3, some of APHLC members who include Rajesh Tisso, Morningson Teron, Rajiv Timung and Rustom Tokbi waylaid a truck that carried rice illegally at Manja and tried to escort it to the police station when two persons who identified themselves as policemen appeared in front of them.

“The two policemen were in casual dress and our members were taken to Manja Police station. Although the truck that carried illegal item was let off, our members were detained.

They were supposed to be released but political conspiracy of our CEM made them go to prison. If jailing political opponents, leaders of social organizations by CEM Ronghang shall achieve statehood, then we are ready to sacrifice for it,” the press statement said.

“CEM Ronghang led Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) has failed the people. If this system continues, the dictatorial way of Tuliram Ronghang shall soon plunge Karbi Anglong to chaos and darkness,” the press statement concluded.
