Sarupathar MCC Holds Extended Meeting


SARUPATHAR, April 13: Sitting MP and Congress candidate for the forthcoming Lok Sabha Polls Biren Sing Engti lashed out at the BJP for their partiality towards indigenous tribes by including Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) and Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in its manifesto during an extended meeting of Sarupathar Mandal Congress Committee held at Balipathar MCC office here today.

The meeting was presided over by MCC president Bonson Ronghang while introduction of distinguished guests was carried out by Borsali Teron. The guests present in the meeting were candidate Birensing Ingti, ex EM Roton Ingti, ex EM Humsing Bey, Kasang Terangpi and other congress leaders.

During the meeting the candidate and several congress leaders assured the gathering crowed that congress will surely win from No. 3 Diphu and there is no point to wonder. Addressing the meeting congress leaders highlighted the ill effect of CAB and Uniform civil code to indigenous people. The leaders also warned that BJP is trying to fool every one with the money.

The leaders further mentioned that article 244 (A) was given by the congress and will be implemented by the congress and therefore urged the crowd to vote for the party to defeat the rivals.
