Indian Army Organises Medical Camp


DIPHU, Apr 13: Continuing with the endeavour to provide humanitarian assistance to the less privileged populace of East Karbi Anglong, the troops of Red Horns Division organised a medical camp at Klurdung, Diphu on the occasion of World Health Day.

A total of 290 citizens that include 100 men, 50 women, 70 children and 70 senior citizens were screened for diseases like malnutrition, dental issue, anaemia, ring worm and malaria.

During the event, an army doctor gave a lecture on safe drinking water, practices for maintaining self hygiene, preventive measure for communicable diseases like dengue, malaria etc. Light refreshment was also provided to the populace by Army.

Free medical check-up, medicines and consultations were provided by the medical team led by the Army medical officer.
