DIPHU, March 25: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for No.3 Autonomous Districts (ST) Parliamentary Constituency, Horen Sing Bey filed their nomination paper by for the ensuing Lok Sabha Election 2019 at Deputy Commissioner Office, Diphu received by DC Mukul Kr. Saikia on Monday.

Bey who was dressed in traditional attire during his interaction with local media said, “BJP stand with our long standing demand for implementation of Article-244(A) of the Constitution of India for three hills districts of Assam comprising Karbi Anglong, West Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao. The BJP of No.3 Autonomous Districts (ST) Parliamentary Constituency also want for full implementation of Memorandum of Understanding  (MoU) initiative by the regional party ASDC and Memorandum of  Settlement (MoS) signed with UPDS, solving of unemployment problems and for all round development in the region.” Further, on election the BJP candidate said, “Gauging from our success in the recently concluded town committees election we are very hopeful for a 90% voters in favour of the BJP.”

Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) CEM Tuliram Ronghang while speaking to media after filling the nomination paper said that people of the three hill districts have not seen a single change under MP Biren Sing Engti who have only but sleeping for 20 years. He also reminded that this is a big opportunity for the people of the hill districts to bring change and completely wipe out Congress from the land.

Earlier, BJP candidate filed his nomination paper in presence of KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang who was also accompanied by DHAC CEM Debolal Garlosa, KAAC Chairman Longki Timung, MLA Dr. Numol Momin and KAAC EM i/c Agriculture etc and Amarsing Tisso.
