BJP will Win Election for Massive Development: KAAC CEM
DONKAMUKAM, Mar 11: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of Assam kicked off their election campaign in West Karbi Anglong with Assam finance and health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma declaring promising Bangladeshi Muslim free Karbi Anglong at a massive rally today. The health minister was accompanied by KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang, MLA Dr Mansing Rongpi and several elected representatives of the district and party.
The state minister gave a warm welcome to over 500 members from opposition parties led by Glintson Teron who joined BJP at the meeting today. “There is no place for illegal Bangladeshi Muslim people here in Karbi Anglong. If they are given a space to stay here within short time numbers will multiply to huge, thus getting political space to changing the demographic pattern of the district,” Dr. Sarma, the star campaigner of the state while addressing the massive gathering at Donkamukam DSA Stadium West Karbi Anglong today.
In his speech Dr. Sarma also lauded Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) CEM Tuliram Ronghang for carrying out eviction drive against illegal Bangladeshi immigrants and encroachers Langkaijan area bordering Hojai recently. “Indigenous people need to stay united in order to protect our land and soil and at the same let us work and built Assam State together beautifully,” said the finance minister.
During his speech, the state health minister also highlighted various development schemes introduced and implement by their party including roads, medical facilities, free admissions, free textbooks and also old age pension, awarding of one tola of gold for girls in their marriage. He further assured of sanctioning for double lane road project from Lanka to Zerikending in coming next session.
“India has now emerged as one of the powerful country under the leadership of PM Modi and has shown the world recently, by bombing the militant camps in Pakistan’s soil, and I urged voters of Karbi Anglong to give chance Modi to lead the country once again,” he concluded.
KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang in his speech claimed that whoever gets the BJP ticket will automatically emerge as winner from No: 3 Diphu ST Parliamentary Election due to the massive developmental works done in short period of time. CEM Tuliram further said that the achievement attained during short span of BJPs tenure is incomparable.Targeting sitting Congress MP Birensing Engti of Diphu, he said, “He slept peacefully all through these years not even asking single question regarding Autonomous State and other burning problems of the district in Parliament.
Later in the day when asked by reporters on whether keen on contesting MP election the KAAC CEM said, “I’ve to remain here since several agenda are still pending.”
Other leaders who were present at the mass gathering include KAAC Speaker Longki Timung, all EMs, MACs, WKAD BJP president Arun Terang, EKAD BJP president and EM Ratan Teron and ex-MLA Bidyasing Engleng among others.
It may be mentioned that dates for election to Lok Sabha was announced by Chief Election Commissioner of India Sunil Arora on 10th March 2019 evening and since the announcement political parties have upped their political meetings and programmes as Karbi Anglong will go for poll on 18 next month.
