2 KPLT cadres apprehended at Birsingki

BORGAON, Mar 9: Based on specific intelligence received from sources regarding presence of armed extremists in Birsingki area, a joint team of Ulukunchi Police and Army from Hamren Camp conducted operations on March 8, 2019 and apprehended 2 KPLT cadres identified as Arak Tisso @ Sajen (27), son of Longsing Tisso and Shaan Kramsa, son of Jackson Kramsa (28) from the area at around 11:00 am.

According to information, the extremists were carrying out extortion from the local populace and businessmen and threatening them at gunpoint.

The joint team of Army and Police reached the spot on March 8 at 10:00 am but could not apprehend them on that day since the extremists had left the place before the team could reach there.

On March 9, the team waited for the duo to return to the spot and apprehended them at around 11:00 am. Altogether two .22mm Pistol, two magazines, six live .22 rounds and four mobile phones were recovered from them. Both the extremists were handed over to Ulukuchi Police outpost for further investigation.

Arak Tisso hails from Kollonga Rongmindar under Donkamukam Police Station while Shaan Kramsa hails from Satgaon Rongkuroi under Satgaon Police Station.
