JLF to Hold 2nd Diphu Poetry Festival 2019 on March 21

DIPHU, Feb 21: The Jambili Literary Foundation (JLF) is all set to organize the biggest poetry event of Karbi Anglong, the Diphu Poetry Festival 2019 on March 21. This was informed by JLF chairman Welsing Hanse and secretary On Teron here this evening.

The mega event will host an All India Poetry completion in three different languages which include Karbi, English and Assamese and the best poems in all the three language categories will be awarded with a cash of Rs. 5000/- and a certificate. They also mentioned that other top 10 poems from each category will be selected for publication.

“Submissions can be made from all over the country through email in the MS-Word or PDF format. Submissions through social media sites like Facebook, Whatsapp etc will not be accepted. Participants should also provide their complete name, address and contact number along with their poem,” chairman Hanse stated.

He also clarified that there is no age limit for the competition and last date for submission is fixed on March 10, 2019. He also stated that winners should be personally present to receive their awards during the Diphu Poetry Festival, 2019 to be held at Diphu.
