KKA and KRF to Organize Seminar on January 30 & 31

DIPHU, Jan 09: In order to trace the migration route, history and culture of the Karbis, the Karbi Kurpho Amei (KKA) and Karbi Research Forum (KRF) with jointly organize two-day long seminar in Diphu Club from January 30 & 31, 2019. This was stated in a press communiqué signed by KKA general secretary Kalasi Hanse, KRF general secretary Living Timung on Wednesday.

The leaders of joint organization appeal all the members of KKA and KRF to be present on January 13, 2019 at Diphu Club to discuss and chalk out details programme at 11:00 AM. They have invited all the social and students organization of the Karbis to be part of the seminar programme and contribute something with scientific proof or testimony to inscribe the valid history of the Karbis on origin of Karbis, birth of five Karbi clan, Karbi kings and warriors and source of culture, traditions.

“At this juncture, the Karbis should be divided on the ground of politics, religions and others; we want all the five clans of the Karbis to be knitted under one umbrella in time of joy and sorrow to protect this tribe from influences from outside,” said Kalasi Hanse.
