Burning down of Liquor Godown at Hanjanglangso is just baffling the public: Laichan Engleng

HANJANGLANGSO, Dec 6: Based on the burning of liquor godown at Hanjanglangso on December 1, HSDC secretary Laichan Engleng stated that the act is done purposely and said that the public is not involved in burning of the building.

Engleng told reporters that there is a huge link between Excise Department and Police Department and there are some liquor mafias and agents whose names appeared in FIR.

“One or two mafias whose names appeared in the FIR were arrested while many are roaming freely in town. So, by burning this godown, it shows that the case has come to an end and from now on all the mafias and agents will be free,” he mentioned.

Engleng also strongly demanded for a CBI inquiry over the burning down of the building, saying that there appeared a foul play in the whole scene.

Mention can be made that the liquor imported from Arunachal Pradesh was caught by Excise Department and Police during the tenure of EM J.C. Pathak as Excise Department. The liquor was kept in a building at Hanjanglangso but unknown miscreants burned down the building on the night of December 1.
