DIPHU, Dec 4: The Karbi Students’ Association (KSA) Diphu District Committee expressed their gratitude to team of forest officials for seizing some of the mining tools of the illegal coal mining which carried out at Disobai under Disobai Beat Office on December 3, 2018. This was informed by president Jonasing Bey in the press meet held here today.
Bey further said that after a news item published on November 30, 2018 by KSA-DDC in opposed of illegal coal mining in the district, forest officials took a stringent measure and went to the spot and seized the mining materials to stop illegal coal mining is commendable job. But only seizing of materials is not a solution but need to take some concrete measure for complete ban of illegal mining in the area.
The press meet was attended by KSA-DDC secretary Semson Phangcho, finance secretary Padmo Teron, office secretary Harlongbi Kramsa and others.
