KAMSFC Demolish Janapriya Club by 6-0 Goals in Final


Wins 11th KASA Club Football Championship

BORGAON, Nov 25: Karbi Anglong Morning Star Football Club (KAMSFC) crushed Janapriya Club by 6-0 goals to win the 11th KASA Club Football Championship being played at the Sangtilangso ME School playground here on Sunday.

KAMSFC completely demolished Janapriya Club’s challenge right from the start with the first two goals was netted by Ginminthang Hangsing in the 21st and 32nd minutes.

Hangsing also continued his football skill right from the second half by netting his third goal at the 51st minute. Janapriya Club player Malaram Basumatary gave some breather after scoring a goal for his team at the 55th minute but his team simply could not stop KAMSFC playing skills as Abel Hammond and Lalminlu Vankal gave another two goals in the 61st and 76th minute respectively.

KAMSFC player Ginminthang Hangsing’s excelent performance continued as he sealed the final fate of the championship by scoring his fourth goals of the day at the 82nd minute.

While congratulating the winners KAAC CEM during his short speech said that a friendly match between NEUFC and KAMSFC will be played at KASA stadium on January 13, 2018.

And as anticipated, highest scorer of the tournament went to KAMSFC player Ginminthang Hangsing for a total of nine goals while the best goalkeeper also went to KAMSFC player Thomson Rongpi and the best player was awarded to Dewri Kro.

The the prize for 1st runners up including medals, certificate and trophy was handed over by guests and MAC Richard Tokbi, EM Amarsing Tisso and MLA Dr. Mansing Rongpi, respectively.

The championship trophy, certificates and medals to the KAMSFC team was handed over by chief and Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) CEM Tuliram Ronghang, EM Amarsing Tisso and BJP WKA president Arun Terang respectively in presence of other guests including EM Prodip Rongpi, MAC D. Uphing Masalai and KASA general secretary Pankaj Teron.
