KSA Submits Memorandum to KAAC for of Installation of Free CT Scan

DIPHU, Nov 05: The Karbi Students’ Association (KSA) led by its president Simeon Rongphar and secretary Thomson Rongpi has submitted a memorandum to the Principal Secretary, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) through the Superintendent of Diphu Civil Hospital complaining against failure of installation of free CT scan provision by Chief Minister Free Diagnostic Scheme in Diphu on Tuesday.

The press statement mentioned that provision of free CT scan facility was provided by under the Chief Minister Free Diagnostic Services to 28 districts of Assam, but the provision is so far denied to Karbi Anglong.

“It is a sad note as it is ignoring the rights of poor people as well as negligence ot the hills people by the BJP government in Assam. It is also seen that there is available room of Government quarter under Forest Department nearby Diphu Civil Hospital where the authority can adjust installation of CT scan office for early benefit to the citizens of hills district if there is lack of room in the hospital premises. However till date, no serious steps were taken by the authority, which is a very unfortunate and questionable issue,” the memorandum stated.

The students’ body also requested the concerned authority to fulfill the health mission project of free CT scan under Chief Minister’s project with immediate effect in the Hospital, which is an award winning hospital for cleanliness.
