Former Indian Captain Bhaichung Bhutia to Grace the Event

DIPHU, Nov 05: In view of the expansion of sport culture in the district the Karbi Anglong Sport Association (KASA) is all set to host the first ever State level indoor game tournament at the Karbi Anglong Sport Association (KASA) indoor stadium in Diphu on January 2018. This was stated by KAAC, CEM & President KASA Tuliram Ronghang on Monday during a press meeting held at KASA stadium on Monday.

Moreover, the event will include long tennis and table tennis and for the same, state level Association of both the deciple has been already consulted and further Ronghang said that apart from the indoor item of long tennis and table tennis, KASA put to host outdoor event like volleyball and basketball during the early part of 2019.

The Karbi Anglong Sport Association (KASA) is ready for one day test ever comprising of cultural program and unofficial exhibition football match between Karbi Anglong Morning star football Club and Asaduzzaman football club of Bangladesh on 8th November.

State minister Piyush Hazarika has consented to attend the events as Chief Guest along with special guest Formal Indian football captain Bhaichung Bhutia. All present and formal MPs, MLAs, EMs, MACs of the district have also been invited to grace the occasion.

He also expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for granting onetime special package of central schem NITI AAYOJ amounting 94.11 crore comprising KASA new complex, beatification of Diphu river, Dokamukam Waisong Stadium and central hall Hamren.

Furthermore, he also announce that, more scheme like 2nd phase NITI AAYOJ and Khelo India for the construction of Hanjanglangso sport complex and Chutianala Sport complex is yet to implement.

Later, while addressing the press meet KASA Hon General Secretary Pankaj Teron said that the exhibition gate will be open for public at 5 pm and game will commence from 7 pm, while four entrance gates will be opened for the public.

“The new stadium has the capacity to hold 9000 spectators, and ticket was made available for VIP seat is Rs. 1000 (two persons), and Rs.100/- each from the spectator as construction toward development of KASA and students will get concession and only Rs.50/- will be charge after producing ID ticket from the counter. Moreover, reservation ticket will be send to all sub Association under KASA.

The press meet was attended by KAMSFC president, Sengkan Ronghang, KASA Treasurer Kensing Engti beside others.
