Hundreds of peoples gathered at catholic burial ground in the evening and offered prayers for the departed souls of their family members, relatives and ancestors and light candles and incense stick on their graves to pay homage.

All Souls Day is a solemnly celebrated by the Roman Catholic commemorating all of those who have died and are now in Purgatory, being cleansed of their venial sins and the temporal punishments for the mortal sins that they had confessed, and being made pure before entering into the presence of God in Heaven.

In Catholic theology, “PURGATORY” is an intermediate state after physical death in which some of those ultimately destined for heaven must first undergo purification, so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven.
