DIPHU, Oct 09: The Gunotsav evaluation programme is going on in full swing in 16 districts of Assam including Karbi Anglong on Tuesday.
The KAAC EM Jagat Sing Engti, i/c Higher Education as the External Evaluator visited Adarsha Hindi High School, Diphu accompanied by Inspector of Schools Rowelson Rongpi as Protocol Officer cum Assistant External Evaluator, Subject teacher of Dokmoka HS School Komola Engtipi as Nodal Teacher and Lumbajong Block Mission Coordinator Sonsing Tokbi as evaluator.
IS Rowelson Rongpi told the media that the IInd round of 1st phase Gunotsav 2018 enters its second days. Altogether, 1356 government and provincialization schools from Elementary to High Schools level will be evaluated in this Gunotsav. During the four days programme starting from October 8-11, 2018 will assess the students’ quality, school maintenance, discipline, mid-day meal, etc.
Lumbajong Block Mission Coordinator, S. Tokbi told the media that in the second day of the programme reading, writing and numeral will be evaluated.
It can be stated that the Gunotsav aims to evaluate schools and student of schools in order to assess their performance and design strategies to bring about quality improvement in levels of learning as well as in the school environment.
