KHERONI, Sept 30: Awareness programme on cyber crime and social media, drug abuse, mob violence and lynching against superstition was held at Kheroni High School on Sunday.
The programme was held under the aegis of Kheroni Police Station and attended by Principal of Kapili College Kukrosing Ramsiyari, Headmaster of Kheroni High School Dilip Kalita, President of Karbi Lammet Amei, Kheroni Branch Ramsing Kathar, KSA President Babul Tokbi, Ruderswar Bakalia, Dhaneswar Baishya, Kanak Deori and others.
While addressing the gathering, the guests particularly talked about how the youths of today should be able to differentiate between good and bad. They also talk about how the youths should abstain themselves from uploading sensitive issues, images and videos in social media sites.
Talking about drugs, the guests also said that drugs users and peddlers are increasing at an alarming rate and appealed the parents to look after their children well. They also appealed the youths not to indulge in such bad habits, telling them that they are the future leaders of tomorrow.
