CEM Lays various Foundation Stones and Inaugurated Karbi Traditional Music School in Hamren


HAMREN/JENGKHA, Sept 12: KAAC Chief Executive Member Tuliram Ronghang on Wednesday laid several foundation stones of developmental schemes in presence of local MLA Dr. Mansing Rongpi, EM Rupsing Teron, MACs and other party leaders.

Among the developmental schemes laid by CEM includes approached road to Ronghidi under PMGSY, construction of Waisong Collage boundary wall & gate, Habe Kengja Sports Complex comprising of auditorium hall, indoor stadium, gallery and open stage.

Earlier, CEM Ronghang laid foundation stone for the construction of Karbi Traditional Music School in Art & Culture office at Old market, Hamren.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, CEM said that for the last two years, efforts are being made to develop the entire district in accordance with the requirement of the 21st century. He said a glimpse of new Karbi Anglong is now visible all over the district.

He said schemes worth crores of rupees were inaugurated or foundation stones were laid today, is a part of this ongoing exercise.

“The school will focus on traditional music, in a full programme of activities, young people will have the opportunity to develop their skills, learn new piece of traditional music and collaborate with other” CEM added.

He also assured the school authority to construct new hostel for the students in the coming year. While (7) seven bighas of land for the proposed Sports Complex at Hamren was donated by a village headman.
