KYO condemn killing of two youths, says quit notice to Karbis is not the solution

DIPHU, Jun 11: The Karbi Youth Organization (KYO) strongly condemned the incident that happened at Panjuri Kachari Gaon where two youths from Guwahati was lynched by the mob who suspected them to be child kidnappers.

A press statement issued by KYO general secretary Si-em Teron mentioned that the youths were on their way back home to Guwahati after visiting Kangthilangso waterfall.

Sympathy over their sudden demise, the KYO appealed the people not to take law in their hands even though they are scared about the widespread rumours about children kidnappers roaming around in different parts of the country. The organization also stated that they should inform the nearest Police Station if they find any suspected person in their locality.

Regarding the quit notice issued by some persons to Karbi students studying in different parts of the country, the KYO appealed the authority of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) to give protection to the students.
