HAFLONG, Feb 13: Three-day long workshop on Theatre in Education (TIE) with theme ‘Acting for Creativity’ begin today at Dibarai Youth Club organized by National School of Drama, Delhi (North East HQ- Tripura) in collaboration with Peoples’ Awareness & Development Society, Maibang (Haflong unit).
The program was formally inaugurated by Dibarai Village Committee GB Kumud Kemprai in presence of Dibarai Village Committee secretary Norrotom Thaosen, participants and resource persons TIE Practitioners Thairingdao Hojai and Norrotom Ghosh.
Speaking on the occasion Kumud Kemprai lauded the organizers for taking initiative for such program for the first time in the district for the promotion of drama and acting which will develops their acting skills as part of character building process. He also assured the organizer to extend all support on skill developments program for among the youths in the district.
During the program the participants were trained with basic skills in acting, intercultural learning development, lifestyle skill like self awareness, problem solving, and decision-making to mention few. Later the participant also performed an act which they learned during the workshop.
Altogether 28 students participated in the said workshop. The program will concluded on 15th February and a certificate will be awarded on the conclusion ceremony.
