Demands cancellation of appointments, action against PCCF and OSD
DIPHU, Feb 03: In a latest development in the district, the Hills’ Progressive Youth Association (HPYA) claimed that all III-grade and IV-grade appointments made under the KAAC Forest Department during the year 2013-2017, were illegal. This was stated in a press release jointly issued by HPYA president Enjoy Tisso and publicity secretary Mindar Teron here in Diphu on Saturday.
The HPYA said that as per RTI information received from all divisions of forest department under the KAAC i.e. East, West, Forestation, Hamren, Silviculture working plan, no advertisement for job vacancies were published in local media, no written examination or interviews were conducted by the appointing authority for the stated posts which clearly proves that the appointments were illegal in nature.
While demanding the KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang, who is also in charge of the forest department, for its immediate cancellation, the organization has also demanded stringent action against PCCF Dr. Abhijit Rabha and OSD B. Narzary for the involvement in the illegal job scam. The organization has further urged the KAAC to call for fresh interview by publishing it in local newspaper dailies and through other media sources for the said posts to give justice to the genuinely qualified and eligible local candidates.
“Hills’ Progressive Youth Association executive committee has taken a resolution to file a PIL at the earliest,” the organization warned.
