KPLT Remember Victims of Charchim


Diphu, Oct 18: Like the rest of the Karbis tribe, the Karbi Longri Liberation Tiger (KPLT) on October 17 commemorated the victims who were killed by DHD militants in 2005 at Prisek Charchim at their designated camp.

The commemoration was led by KPLT commander in chief Ranam Lijang, assistant secretary Lotichari Kangtang Bey and convenor P.Timung. The condolence programme was conducted in full combat dresses as a tribute to the departed souls.

Mention can be made that a total of 42 persons were killed by DHD militants during the Karbi-Dimasa clash at Prisek-Charchim. All the murdered persons were passengers of KAAC buses plying between Jerikyndeng to Diphu and Hamren to Jerikyndeng.
