Diphu, Oct 09: Believer Church of India (BCI) Rongjangphong and Evangelical Baptist Convention Church (EBCC), Rongmili enters final of the ongoing 1st Inter Churches Football Tournament 2017 which gets underway at Christian English High School (CEHS) since September 27, 2017.
In the first semi-final match BCI striker N Rocky score the lone goal in the second half of the game. Reformed Presbyterian Church (RPC) who has splendour performance in the last few matches, tried their best to produce the equalizer after BCI boys netted the goal but they couldn’t make it till the final whistle of the match was blown and eventually BCI win the match by 1-0.
Earlier, in the first half of the match both team could not break the dead lock.
EBCC Rongmili registered a comfortable win against Karbi Anglong Presbyterian Church (KAPC) by 2-0 goals in the second semi-final. David opened the account for the EBCC outfit with a goal in the first half and they led by 1-0 at the half time.
After the break, Suanmang scored to make it 2-0 for EBCC boys toward the end of second half.
It was very contrasting semi-finals which was played today. The KAPC side fought very valiantly though they could never match the game plan of the EBCC boys. At the end, the EBCC boys deservingly earned the final berth.
EBCC, Rongmili will meet BCI of Rongjangphong in the final match on Tuesday.
