Diphu, Jul 2: In a ceremony held at Diphu Lekhika Samaru Samity (DLSS) premises this evening, Monsing Terang (16) s/o Rensing Terang and Meena Teronpi of Bura Teron village, Longlit is awarded with Rosmi Kropi Award for securing 92.66 percent in recently declared HSLC examination under SEBA from St. Mary’s School, Diphu.
The award was handed over Geetanjali Das Kropi, w/o Dr. Bodon Ch. Kro in a ceremony chaired by its presiden Meera Dev. The award giving ceremony was also graced by All Assam Lekhika Samaru Samity vice president.
According to sources, the samity began their charity work by helping financially to talented student since 2011. “This year award for both general and ST category was given to Monsing Terang who stood first from all angle in recently declared HSLC examination 2017. We wishes him a bright future and be a torch bearer for other students too who are stepping in his footstep,” said the samity leader.
Family sources thank the DLSS for honouring Monsing Terang which they will be indebted. “He was awarded with Rs. 10,000/- plus certificate for his outstanding performance. Earlier, the All Assam Students Union (AASU) of Diphu Regional Committee also felicitates him with a trophy and certificate in collaboration with Langpi Dehangi Rural Bank (LDRB) Diphu head branch,” said Rensing Terang.
