Hanjanglangso, Jun 9: With an aim of acquainting basic knowledge and as part of its financial inclusion and awareness drive on digital banking, Bank of Baroda organized a financial literacy camp at Hanjanglangso Assamese L.P. School today.
The programme was led by Dhormo Teron and was assisted by Son Terang. Present at the camp include Bank of Baroda Sukhanjan Branch BM Nomeswar Chintees, Biraj Bhattadary, SGB Riso Hanse and SGB Sing killing.
Speaking at the camp Bank Manager Nomeswar Chintees said that every citizen of the country which includes people residing in rural areas should have a bank account in order to avail different facilities and other benefits. He also stressed that account holders should deposit their hard earned money and also should withdraw from time to time.
The resource person also said that individual who have also availed loan from banks must also make sure that they also make their term deposits well on time to avoid any burden or unnecessary penalties on defaulting. He also informed that bank also have animal husbandry loan for individual who intends to go for piggery, broiler, and cattle and also offer agricultural loans for tractor etc.
While speaking on digital banking, the resource person mentioned several benefits that it offers right from transaction from mobile phones for various purposes including personal and official.
The awareness camp was concluded with appreciation and vote of thanks by Son Terang.
