Diphu, Apr 6: The awareness programme of Health Assurance Scheme- Atal Amrit Abhiyan (AAA) was held at Lumbajong Development Block premises on Thursday.
Under this scheme, individual member of eligible BPL and APL families with annual income which is less than Rs. 5 lakh, would be able to avail health assurance of Rs 2 Lakh per year for treatment of six critical illness which include cardiovascular diseases, cancer, kidney diseases, neo-natal diseases, neurological conditions and burns.
On the occasion Joint Director of Health Services Dr. Kareng Rongpipi said that “To avail the scheme, patients who are above 18 years will have to provide photograph and voter ID card while patients below 18 years are to provide photograph and birth certificate. At the time of enrolment the BPL families will have to produce BPL card and for the APL families’ income certificate from any competent authority.”
District Programme Manager Amarjit Tisso also said it is a reimbursement system where the amount will be paid after submission of its expenditure. “A card will be provided to individual who will be selected after proper verification of documents as explained earlier. And enrolment for the Atal Amrit Abhiyan (AAA) scheme in the district will begin from April 10, 2017 onwards.
“The Block level meeting cum awareness programme has been organized KAAC, NHM in association with Assistant Revenue Officer (Diphu Circle), Lumbajong Development Block, District Agricultural Officer and Deputy Director of Supply,” DPM Tisso added.
