Diphu, Apr 3: Karbi Anglong Unemployed Engineers Association (KAUEA) has demanded the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) to make a scrutiny of degree and diploma certificates of applicants who have applied for the posts of Assistant Engineer (civil) and Junior Engineer (civil) in the district. This was stated in memorandum submitted to the KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang here today.
According to copy of a memorandum made available to the media, the organization had asked the KAAC to accept application only from the Engineering College and Institutions which are recognized by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) which is mandatory for obtaining any government jobs.
“Those candidates that obtained their degree/diploma from institution that are not approved or recognized by AICTE are not eligible for applying government jobs,” said the memorandum.
The demand by the organization was made following some information that some candidates whose degree and diplomas are not recognized by AICTE are also applying for the posts of Assistant Engineers (civil) and Junior Engineer (civil) under the KAAC. The memorandum was signed and submitted by its president Tinku Kro and general secretary Harlongki Timung.
